The Holidays are always special at R C Wahl Jewelers; the store is beautifully decorated and new sparkling jewelry fills every case. This year is an extraordinary one for us because our family began their business in America 125 years ago in 1894! And 70 years ago, in 1949, we opened our Des Plaines store.
Much has changed since Bob and Barba, the 4th generation of the Wahls to run the family business, brought their own vision to Wahl Jewelers. They soon outgrew their original store and brought their dreams to life by building a wonderful new store. The family carried on their tradition of only selling quality gemstones, jewelry and watches. Providing our clients a team of associates that are jewelry experts who focus on our customer’s needs first has been an unwavering pledge of the Wahl family. It is these core values and commitment to our community that has allowed R C Wahl Jewelers to maintain its position as a premier jeweler in Chicagoland.
This is also the year in which Bob and Barba celebrated their 51th wedding anniversary. Their vision, hard work and joy in what they do has made those 51 extraordinary years fly by. Their commitment to excellence now continues as their daughter, Heather Wahl, is leading their team and carrying on their valued traditions while at the same time, ensuring that R C Wahl adopts cutting edge technologies and strategies to ensure their client’s continue to receive the best services available.
Though retired, Bob and Barba will still be found in the store, greeting old friends and making new ones. Wahl Jewelers is their life’s work, and they are justly proud of
having built the Jewel of Des Plaines.
